We will try our best to inform all of our program participants of any class cancellations. If you have not heard from us, please give us a call before coming in for your specific class. The safety of our staff, volunteers and participants is our #1 focus in deciding to cancel a program. We will do our best to make up lost class/ice time.

The Belmont Complex offers skating lessons for a variety of levels and lessons are set by the Ice Skating Institute.

Learn to Skate Students can stay & skate
at the afternoon 2:30-4:00 Public Skate for Free!

Sunday: 1:20-1:50pm & 1:55-2:25pm

1:20-1:50pm-  Parent Tot/Tot1/Tot2/Tot3/Tot4

1:55-2:25pm - Pre-Alpha/Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Delta/Freestyle

Cost: $90
$1 Skate Rental Available (skate rental not included)

$10 discount for each additional family member

September 30 - November 18, 2018

Registration Deadline: Sept. 22, 2018

Series 2

December 2 - December 23, 2018 & January 6 - January 27, 2019

Registration Deadline: Nov. 24, 2018

Series 3

February 10 - March 31, 2019

Registration Deadline: Feb. 2, 2019


No registration accepted after deadline 

 Students must be 4 years of age by the deadline date. No one accepted under the age of 4.

Class times based on age/skill level.

Coats, mittens and helmets recommended.

 Class size is limited and registration is on a first-come, first serve basis.

Your payment must accompany your registration.

There are no make-ups for missed classes.


Levels:

Class Description
Parent Tot For parents who want to help their 4-6 year old beginner.
Tot 1-4 Beginners age 4-6: Focus on balance and mobility.
Pre-Alpha Beginners age 7: Focus on basic forward and backward movement.
Alpha Focus on the finer points of forward skating: stroking, crossovers and snowplow stops
Beta Focus on the finer points of backward skating: stroking, crossovers and T-stops
Gamma Focus on transitions: three-turns and mohawks
Delta Focus on the proper use of edges.
Freestyle An introduction to the sport of figure skating; availability of this class depends on the number of interested students.
